About Us

Who are we?

We are Puerto Rico Summit for Outdoor and Adventure Recreation, known commercially as PR SOAR. A Puerto Rican company focused on outdoor recreation and adventure education in Puerto Rico and the United States. We specialize in unique and effective approaches for groups, whether school, university, or corporate, through workshops, talks, and guided outdoor activities.

For years, we have worked in collaboration with our clients on projects and/or activities ranging from fun to adventure, using the concept of “Experiential Learning” as our approach. This concept is based on reflecting on the experience itself, as a tool and contrasting it with rote or didactic learning.

Our team has over 25 years of experience in the areas of Rope Courses, Team Building (TB), Environmental Interpretation, Ecotourism Excursions, Outdoor Activities (such as camping, hiking, backpacking), corporate events, among others. Do the excursions include equipment?

Yes, all our excursions include the necessary basic equipment. However, we recommend bringing personal items such as water, appropriate clothing, and sunscreen.

Are the excursions safe?

Yes, at PRSOAR, safety is our priority. Our guides are Wilderness First Aid certified, and we follow strict safety protocols throughout all our activities.

How does PR SOAR promote sustainable tourism?

At PR SOAR, we are Leave No Trace community partners, promoting responsible ecotourism and supporting local conservation projects. We also educate our participants about the importance of protecting the natural environment.

What should I bring on a hike?

It depends on the type of hike, but we generally recommend:

Comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.
Towel.
Water and snacks.
Sunscreen and insect repellent.
A light backpack to carry your belongings.

What happens if weather conditions do not allow the excursion?

Safety first. If weather conditions are unsafe, the tour will be rescheduled, and a partial refund or credit for another date will be offered.

What is the cancellation policy?

It depends on the tour booked. We generally offer full refunds if canceled at least 72 hours in advance, and 50% if canceled between 71 and 48 hours in advance. For late cancellations (47 hours or less), there are no refunds; depending on the reason, a credit may be applied.

Why don't we publish the locations of some of our experiences?

As a matter of company policy, out of respect for private property and the preservation of natural areas or reserves, we cannot reveal the name of the location, as these spaces require authorization and/or a contract from the custodians of these spaces to operate while maintaining a balance with the ecosystem and thus contributing to sustainability. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Do you have any restrictions?

Los participantes deben tener buena salud y estar en buenas condiciones físicas. Los participantes con lesiones recientes, cirugías y/o embarazos no podrán participar de alguna de nuestras actividades. Muchas de nuestras experiencias son por terrenos irregulares y resbaladizos, agua en movimiento, nos pararemos cerca de salientes y/o acantilados empinados, caminaremos por colinas con una pendiente sostenida, entre otras. Los participantes con una condición médica o física que hagan el participar sea uno peligroso no pueden participar. Debido a las restricciones de tamaño de nuestros arneses y otros equipos técnicos, no podemos acomodar a personas que pesen más de 250 libras en los componentes de rappelling o climbing de nuestros recorridos. PR SOAR se reserva el derecho de cancelar o limitar su participación en función de su condición física. Si tiene alguna pregunta o inquietud sobre su capacidad para participar en esta actividad de manera segura, hable con nuestro personal con anticipación. Si tiene que cancelar en el último momento debido a una condición médica o física no revelada, será responsable del pago total del monto de su viaje.
